10km Competitive Race

FIDAL NATIONAL RACE  over the 10 km distance for categories A/J/P/S/SM  m/f.

 

Who Can Take Part in Our Contest: 

A Complete Guide

Are you ready to test your limits and enjoy an unforgettable sporting experience? 

Our race is open to a wide range of athletes, each with their own qualifications and requirements. 

Find out below who can join us and get ready to cross the finish line!

Eligible participant categories

1. ITALIAN/FOREIGN ATHLETES REGISTERED WITH CLUBS AFFILIATED TO FIDAL and belonging to the various competitive categories (Allievi 16/17, Juniores 18/19 –Promesse 20/22 –Senior 23+ male and female, Seniores 35+ male and female) for the year 2026;

 

2. FOREIGN ATHLETES REGISTERED WITH FOREIGN ATHLETICS FEDERATIONS affiliated to WA, submitting at the time of entry:
- EU foreign athletes: authorization from their Federation to compete abroad;
- non-EU athletes: in addition to the authorization from their Federation, a residence permit or entry visa.
NB Athletes “registered” with a foreign Federation affiliated to WA, who are not entered by their own Federation, Club or Agent, must sign a self-declaration certifying their registration.

 

3. RUNCARD HOLDERS, Italian and foreign citizens resident in Italy, limited to persons aged 20 and over (age reference year 2006), not registered with a club affiliated to Fidal nor with a foreign athletics club affiliated to WA, holding a valid RUNCARD (not expired) issued directly by Fidal (www.runcard.com).
NB The RUNCARD card is renewable. The RUNCARD card shows its expiry date. If on the day of the event, during the card check, it is found to be expired, the athlete may NOT take part, unless proof of online renewal is provided. 
Their participation is in any case subject to the submission of a medical certificate of competitive fitness for Athletics valid in Italy, to be shown in original to the organizers. A copy of the medical certificate must be handed in to be kept on file by the organizing Club of each event in which the RUNCARD holder takes part.
 These athletes will be regularly included in the race results, but will not be entitled to reimbursements, bonuses or access the cash prize pool and/or generic value vouchers, nor category awards.

 

4. ITALIAN/FOREIGN ATHLETES REGISTERED WITH CLUBS of Sports Promotion Bodies (Athletics discipline) that have signed the agreement with FIDAL only if they hold a valid RUNCARD-EPS (validity date not expired).
NB They must present the original medical certificate of competitive fitness bearing the wording “Athletics”, a copy of which will be given to the organizers. These athletes will be regularly included in the race results, but will not be entitled to reimbursements, bonuses or access the cash prize pool and/or generic value vouchers, nor category awards.

 

5. RUNCARD HOLDERS, Italians and foreigners resident abroad, limited to persons aged 20 and over (age reference year 2006), not registered with a club affiliated to Fidal nor with a foreign athletics club affiliated to WA, holding a valid RUNCARD (not expired) issued directly by Fidal (www.runcard.com).
NB The RUNCARD card is renewable. The RUNCARD card shows its expiry date. If on the day of the event, during the card check, it is found to be expired, the athlete may NOT take part, unless proof of online renewal is provided.
Their participation is in any case subject to the submission of a medical certificate of competitive fitness for Athletics valid in Italy. They may also submit a medical certificate issued in their own country, but compliant with the diagnostic tests required by Italian regulations to carry out competitive activity, which must be shown in original and a copy left with the organizers. 
In accordance with current legal provisions (D.M. 18/02/1982), those who practice competitive sports must undergo prior and periodic checks of sport-specific fitness. Italian regulations require that the persons concerned undergo the following health checks:  medical examination; complete urine test; ECG at rest and after exertion; spirometry.

All declarations and test reports must be authentic or certified true copies of the originals.
A copy of the medical certificate must be kept on file by the Organizing Club of each event in which the RUNCARD holder takes part.
These athletes will be regularly included in the race results, but will not be entitled to reimbursements, bonuses or access the cash prize pool and/or generic value vouchers, nor category awards.

 

6. FOREIGN ATHLETES not resident in Italy, not registered for tourist-sport purposes  foreign citizens resident abroad, not registered with a Club affiliated to Fidal nor with a foreign Athletics Club affiliated to WA, limited to persons aged 20, may take part in the non-competitive event without sending the medical certificate. This type of participation requires only completion of the self-declaration (the liability waiver form).

WARNING: By choosing this option the athlete will be included in an order of finish, separate from the ranking of the competitive event; moreover, their time will be listed in alphabetical order and they will not be eligible for prizes in kind or cash.

 

 

 

Participants in the events may be subject to anti-doping controls. They are also subject to the provisions set out in Article 25 of the Fidal Rules for the Organization of Events 2026, if already subject to disciplinary suspension.

Participant categories NOT allowed

  • ATHLETES REGISTERED with other Federations (e.g. Triathlon)
  • ATHLETES REGISTERED with Clubs of Sports Promotion Bodies recognized by CONI but not affiliated with FIDAL, who have not signed the RUNCARD

Medical Certificate Warnings

  • Medical certificates must state “competitive sports fitness for the practice of TRACK AND FIELD (D.M. 18/02/1982)”;
  • Competitive fitness medical certificates bearing wording such as race, road running, racewalking, marathon, triathlon, running etc. are not valid for participation.
  • Competitive fitness medical certificates for other sports are not valid for participation; only those expressly stating “Track and Field” will be accepted
  • Italian citizens (even if not resident in Italy) are required to provide a medical certificate issued in Italy.
